Dallis is a chemical engineer who works in risk management. He has over 30 years’ experience in risk and opportunity analysis across the mining, oil and gas, and various industries.
He has worked with all the major mining houses, is recognised by Rio Tinto as a global authority in process safety having reviewed all their global operations in 2015 on a Board directed assignment. He has previously spent 14 months on a secondment with Xstrata as the global Manager Catastrophic Risk. During his career Dallis has also advised many government departments, the sugar industry, public utilities, rail, ports, and airports, assisting them understand and manage their risk profiles and maximise their opportunities. He has specialised in adapting risk management tools to provide innovative solutions that minimise costs, and risks, and meet corporate objectives using processes which align with ISO 31000 Risk management – Principles and guidelines.
