About Khory

Khory’s career embraces some 40 years as a partner at Australian law firm Minter Ellison and now as an independent consultant in conflict resolution and commercial advisory legal practice. He had also held numerous public and private non-executive board positions.

He is a former Chair of Energex Limited and more recently the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility. He also has acted as Chair of the environmental and public issues body Greencross Australia, was Deputy Chair of the Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy and a member of risk and human capital AON’s Australian Advisory board. He was appointed Griffith University’s Professor of Strategic Law.

He has extensive knowledge of a wide range of industries including energy, resources infrastructure, construction, procurement, supply chain and transportation.

Khory has advised clients such as Anglo Coal, Rio Tinto and Glencore, to name but a few, in relation to commercial operations in diverse locations; the Philippines, China, Japan, the Middle East, South Africa, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and North and South America.

Khory’s mining sector, public sector and international experience benefits Xenith’s clients (domestic and international) as they navigate the journey to a more ESG and sustainable carbon neutral operating environment. His Chairmanship of Greencross evidences his credentials in the space.

As Xenith Chairman, Khory sees himself as a sounding board, a mentor and a gatekeeper of sorts, challenging people around managing and leveraging risks, while encouraging the Xenith team to grow the business and increase stakeholder value.

Khory brings to Xenith a commercially focused perspective and strategic mindset to leveraging competition opportunities, innovation, and change. He has a strong focus on building internal capability and expanding the Xenith service offering to benefit clients.

On a personal note…

Khory likes to spend spare time with family, travelling, reading histories, horse breeding and playing golf occasionally.

He and his wife Fiona share an active commitment to pro bono community service.
