Xenith were pleased to assist MACH Energy with the mining component of the Mt Pleasant Optimisation Project EIS. The Mt Pleasant mine is located near the town of Muswellbrook in NSW, and this job was managed out of Xenith’s nearby Hunter Valley office.

The work involved preparation of mining and haulage sequences and schedules, analysis of manning options, infrastructure design, modelling of mining costs over the EIS period, and evaluation of final landform alternatives. Additionally, the Mt Pleasant JORC summary for the EIS is based on the 2019 statement generated by Xenith Competent Person Ben Smedley.

Xenith is delighted to see the Hunter Valley coal industry continuing to grow and fill increasing demand from Asian markets.
