For the first time since our tipping competition started in 2014, Xenith employees have taken out the top 3 positions in 2020.
Congratulations to Aaron Steinert, Principal Geologist for his win in this year’s NRL tipping competition, which included over 50 clients and employees. Even though the competition was suspended after Round 2 in March due to COVID, there were still 24 rounds of tipping to play.
On the 21st March this year we lost our dear friend and colleague, Dave McDonald after a short battle with a brain tumor. His mining knowledge was 2nd to none, and he had a great knack of unpacking some complex issues into simple analysis for our clients.
If any of you personally knew Dave, you would know that he was a sports fanatic and passionate NRL and State of Origin supporter. Xenith has acknowledged Dave’s life and 14-year contribution to our company, by recently renaming the NRL Footy Tipping trophy to the Dave McDonald NRL Memorial Shield.
Thank you to all our clients that participated in this year’s tipping competition and we hope you join us for a bigger and better competition in 2021.
