Xenith’s 2023 NRL Tipping Winners

Congratulations to John Hives for his win in this year’s Xenith NRL tipping competition, which included over 50 clients and employees. 

John has recently assisted Xenith embed Hubspot software into our business. 

John was presented with the Dave McDonald NRL Memorial shield and recalls, “Dave and I met on the touch football field in 1985 when he relocated from Blackwater Mine to Norwich Park Mine and the family settled in Dysart. I worked at Saraji Mine and Dave at Norwich Park Mine”. 

In March 2020, Xenith lost our dear friend and colleague, Dave McDonald after a short battle with a brain tumor. His mining knowledge was second to none, and he had a great knack of unpacking some complex issues into simple analysis for our clients. If you personally knew Dave, you would know that he was a sports fanatic and passionate NRL and State of Origin supporter. 

Congratulations also goes to 2nd place – Shane Holmes, Xenith’s Hunter Valley Manager and 3rd place – Nathan Vaughan, Stratford Coal who has donated his prize money to the Asthma Foundation.
