About Troy

As Xenith’s CEO, Troy leads a 100-strong team across four offices, covering exploration, coal, metals, due-diligence, advisory, environment, project approvals, land access and ESG solutions. Troy also leads strategic consulting projects for several of Xenith’s key clients.

Driven to always deliver technically excellent work, Troy is equally dedicated to diversification and has led this process in key roles across Xenith, bringing sharper clarity, direction, and an ambitious growth mindset to all aspects of operations.

Troy is also passionate about people. He places particular importance on client relationships and networking while also nurturing team members’ individual strengths and unique qualities. Or as Troy calls it, opening opportunities for his staff to “see the light and choose their own adventure”.

Troy has previously travelled to Africa and South America as part of Trade and Investment Queensland missions and is always prepared to speak to university students about resources-related pathways and professional opportunities.

Troy is a respected industry all-rounder, just as proficient at delivering insights, expertise, and solutions whether he’s in the boardroom, on a trade mission or at the production facility.

He brings to industry a rare and special blend of strong multi-disciplinary technical knowledge, resource geology expertise, business management abilities and leadership skills. Troy is often called upon as a key adviser to provide honest and direct advice based on science, finely-honed technical skills, and detailed market knowledge.

Having joined Xenith in the months after the business was established, Troy is the longest-serving member of the leadership team and the company. Troy’s extensive global network of industry connections and his passion for growing the team’s capabilities to enhance client support give Xenith a unique advantage in the marketplace.

Since becoming CEO in 2018, Troy has played an instrumental role in driving Xenith’s growth, innovation, and future-readiness in response to the new carbon economy and the increasing ESG needs of clients.

On a personal note…

Troy grew up in the small town of Chinchilla and is the father of two high school-aged children. He enjoys honing his agricultural skills on his hobby cattle farm west of Ipswich, using this alone time for thinking and problem-solving.
