Xenith appoints industry leader to head WA operations

Xenith is proud to announce the appointment of respected resources industry executive David Morgan as the manager of our newly established Perth office.

David, who starts with the company on February 5, boasts extensive resource experience which extends from operational leadership through to the executive management and board level.

Drawing on a career spanning 35-plus years, he will bring Xenith’s established technical and advisory expertise to the Western Australian resources industry and will provide integrated services to new and existing customers across all phases of the asset lifecycle.

Andrew Knuckey, General Manager – Advisory & Metals, said David’s background extended to multiple commodity sectors, including gold, copper, nickel, iron ore and coal, and all levels of operational development and business management.

David is a Chartered Professional Engineer – AIE, an AusIMM Fellow and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a graduate of the West Australian School of Mines (WASM) and also holds a First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency.

“With his unparalleled experience, qualifications and professional networks, David is ideally positioned to continue Xenith’s growth in Western Australia, and we’re thrilled to have someone of his calibre on board,” Mr Knuckey said.

“His recruitment reflects the importance we place on our ongoing investment in Western Australia and our commitment to evolving and bolstering the support we bring to our valued client base.”

The announcement for the Perth office marks a timely milestone in the Xenith journey, which began in Brisbane with three people and will next year mark its 20th anniversary in business.

CEO Troy Turner said the company owed its success to continued evolution in response to industry demand, as seen in the launch of new service offerings in environmental approvals, cultural heritage, ESG consulting, critical minerals and metals.

“These new services underscore Xenith’s clear understanding of the changing nature of the industry and its ability to grow and innovate to help clients meet their increasing sustainability and regulatory compliance requirements,” Mr Turner said.

“Our industry is constantly evolving, and so are we.”
